Emily Carmichael has taught students across Ontario, Canada, and New York, USA. From private lessons to full classes of up to 30 students, she creates engaging and inclusive learning experiences that reach students of all abilities and learning styles.

 

Emily has taught in a wide range of educational settings throughout her teaching career. She has led general music classes for students ages 3–18, developing her own lesson plans, assessing student progress, and—most importantly—creating meaningful experiences through music-making. She also continues to offer private instruction in trumpet, piano, and music theory for students of all ages.

 

Emily’s teaching philosophy centres on creating lessons uniquely tailored to each student. Her goal is to ensure that every learner feels both challenged and inspired, discovering the same spark that first ignited her own love of music.
